Hey there, i've been reading alot recently, (the new cpu to be released in china) and got a bit of a question here:
Anybody know what kind of chips work the fly-by-wire computers used to control flight (DUH!) in Airbus and Boeing planes?
Just 'cause I remembered the articles I've read that the Hubble space telescope was upgraded with something like an 486, and that the space shuttle uses 8086/8088's, and got wondering 'bout the computers that control normal commercial flights
also, why does nasa look for those proccesors on EBAY and stuff? can't they just order them from inter or amd or something like that?
