Hi all,

I have a Treo 650 which I sync to a Dell Latitude notebook vua bluetooth.
Everything works perfectly apart from the fact that every so often I have to
pair the device again by entering the pin code. I havent been able to id
exactly when this happens. Any advice?

Thanks FD

This is not normal.

1 - Double Check all security configurations on both devices, these
configurations change from vendor to vendor. But normally both have a
list of trusted devices and both must be in a list of a
trusted-device-like of each other.

2 - Check for the very last bluetooth driver on Dell website, Notebook
vendors ar3e having very difficulties to make their BT drivers work with
sweet on their notebook.

3 - Not enough? Try to uninstall and reinstall you Notebook BT drivers.

4 - Still not? Try to ask support for Dell, not for PalmOne. I bet that
the problem is on Notebook and you'll get a better support on Dell
compared to palmOne.

I've occasionally a similar problem with my Tungsten T. One thing I noticed
is that
the pairing is not really gone: if I get a request for a pin code, but
instead of entering
the pin code I reboot both the PC & the palm, they are back to being paired
again.
Usually, only rebooting one of them is sufficient. I know this is not
solving your problem,
but if your problem is similar, it might help in understandig the problem, I
hope.
