Hi guys,

I bought a new Sc card for my Treo 650 yesterday and as I have never used
one before, I am a little unsure of how to use it.

I have formatted the card using the builtin format utility and loaded Filez.
I see that a DCIM and a PALM folder has been created on it. I assume the
PALM folder is to store all the palm apps? I also note that it contains two
subfolders Launcher and Prograns. When should I use these and what for?

What is the DCIM folder for?

Can anyone guide me on the procedure for transferring MP3 files to the card
and play them from there?

Thanks for any help.

Program files (they have the file extension .prc) placed in the
Launcher folder will appear in the Treo's launcher under the category
labeled "Card." The Programs folder is used by programs on the Treo
for their own use.

Third-party program launchers like ZLauncher can allow you to create
shortcuts to programs located anywhere on the card.

Get an SD card reader -- they usually cost ten dollars or less. Or
install a utility like Card Export which makes the Treo "look" like a
removable drive under Windows. Create a folder named "Audio" on your
card and just drag all your MP3 files into it. Your MP3 player will
find them automatically and allow you to play them and create
playlists.
