I have a Zire71 and a 128 MB SD card. I've got a 256 MB SD Card. How
do I move the programs I have on the old card to the new card?

Connect the Zire to the PC in Drive Mode. Copy the contents of the card to the
desktop. Disconnect. Reconnect with the new card and copy all the files to it.
Of course, it would be much easier with a card reader.

You can not :-( This is only for T5 and LifeDrice. Get a card reader or
use infrared to beam files to and from your computer.

How I did it!

I have a Zire71. It does not have a Drive Mode. I didn't really want
to buy a card reader {mostly $30 around here) to do a one-time
transfer. Instead I used my MP3 player [a RCA Lyra] [it also uses SD
cards], inserted the SD card from my Zire, transferred the contents to
my desktop, put the new SD card into the MP3 player and most of the
files made it [oddly, some didn't but 90% did!]. I inserted the 256
SD card into the Zire and it worked! Ok, there are a few files that
I'll have to replace but the important ones are there.

And now I can give the old 128 MB SD card to my son so he can use it
in the digital camera he bought last week.

Thanks for the help!

Dopey me! I used to have a Zire 71 and swore it had that option.
