after installing Microsoft Broadband software I get this "program" opening
itself over and over until the computer slows to a crawl. Restarting the
computer clears it, but then it starts all over again. It doesn't appear to
be a virus or a trojan. Anyone have any ideas what it is?

thanks, Terry

If you're on Windows XP, go into Control Panel and uninstall the front-end
for the Microsoft Broadband Networking. You can administer your devices
using the built-in XP software, including being able to go to the default
address of the base station from the address line in your browser.
