The downloaded videos for the article:JVC Everio GZ-MC200: An Hour of DVD ..are with extensions of .rar . My ZipMagic 2000 does not want to 'decompressed them. Of course Im thinking THEY ARE compressed. As I dont have anything onboard my W98SE machine here with a corrosponding associated program that does play a .rar file.. (e.g. Windows Media Player,QuickTime).

The only .rar I know of is an archive file. Try opening it w/ the freeware app called WinRAR.

Yeah . Did/done with the WinRAR instalation for .rar files. Uncompressed the .avi file so I could look at it. Version I found was not a 'freeware version though. 40 day 'trial version. 29.99 for liscence.
