In follow up to my earlier post about data not syncing, I noticed that in
her hotsyc setup, it had '(outlook)" next to contacts, calendar, etc. so I
assume that since there is nothing in Outlook, that is why it is not syncing
anything. Is that right? If so, how do I change it?

Also, I can't get the hotsync options to stick on "synchronize", even when I
click to make it the default. It keeps changing back to "do nothing".

From the palmOne KnowledgeBase
(http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,kb=PalmSupportKB,CASE=obj(25263),ts=Palm_External2001),

Switching synchronization: Palm Outlook Conduits:

These instructions apply to the Palm Outlook Conduits that are included with
handhelds released after late 2003. The Palm Desktop installer determines
which conduits are activated during the installation process.

If you want to switch synchronization from Palm Desktop to Outlook, or vice
versa, you'll need the original CD-ROM that came with your handheld.

1) Insert the CD-ROM into your computer. A window should open, containing
the contents of the CD-ROM.

2) From the Discover Your Handheld screen, select "Install Microsoft Outlook
Conduits" or "Change synchronization method" (depending on which device you
have)

3) Follow the instructions for switching synchroniztion from or to Palm
Desktop or Outlook.

4) See our note about data transfer

Hope this helps!

If you'd like a more dynamic way of switching from Outlook to Palm Desktop
or vice versa, consider SwitchSync at www.livepim.com which lets you
synchronise to either, or both, and lets you have different settings for
different User IDs.
