Hi all.

I have been using my Palm M500 for about 3 years without a single issue
until now. Last night I had just finished a hotsync and removed my pda
from the cradle. It then crashed and just continuously reboots. The palm
logo keeps on flashing as if the hardware reset is being done over and over.

I have been over the hard reset, lose you data methods. I've even
dismantled it to check for hardware issues and have even disconnected
the battery for about 5 hours to no avail.

The hardware reset button appears to be ok, so I believe it is a
software issue. I am able to hold the down scroll bar to get a debug
reset and it will sit there with the flashing cursor in the top left
hand corner.

Any ideas? I have thought of trying to do a flash upgrade from this
point but will need to find a non Windows XP box first.

Cheers,
Justin.

Justin,

I had the same problem after changing des battery on my m500, too.
Disconnect the battery for a minute, reassemble your palm with c a r e,
avoid pressure on internal parts and try another hard reset. This worked
for my m500.
