About to order my PC, I just need to decide if I should include creative labs X Gamer or stick with the audio on the IWILL....I whave the bose cd player system..the small one that fits on desk and sounds amazing..its like 500$...I want to connect it to my computer via the RCA ports...Will the audio card on IWill be sufficient...or should i go with the Creatve Labs X Gamer??

Thanks for input.

The sound on the onboard audio is fine for me, but I mostly keep my speakers off. It sounds like a good quality sound is something you would like, so I would go with the Creatve Labs X Gamer. If you don't need it, don't get it. If you like to listen to MP3's, or get really good game music, then by all means go with the Creatve Labs X Gamer. If you keep your sound off mostly, and it's not important for you, stick with the onboard. Hope this helps.

Well I guess then if I'm using the Bose speakers, which are high quality, for my gaming..I'll go with the Creative Labs X Gamer.

My brother is about ready to get a KK266 (with a 1.2Gig 266FSB T-bird), so I was wondering since this board has had a month or so of maturing, have all of its "infancy" problems been fixed?

Well, all the VIA boards have some stability problems.
You might be reffering to the multiplier problems. Some people's 1.2 GHz Tbird's were read and used as 800 MHz, when they tried to overclock. Iwill made a very public announcement of this, and figured out the problem (It was with a couple of transistors). All new KK266's have the problem fixed. I love the KK266, and highly recommend it. If you have an older board, they will charge your credit card for a new one, send you a new one, and then give you the money back when you send them your old board. Good Luck on your new system!
