My dad has become secretary of the local beekeepers club, and he has
been given a list of contacts in excel spreadsheet format with the
following columns:

Name (one field, surname, initial)
Address (one field, commas separate the lines)
Telephone no
Email Address (sometimes empty)

is there an easy way to convert the data in this format into palm
contacts information?

He is using a Zire 21 (he has access to a Zire 31, and a Clie TJ-35,
although I doubt this will make much difference), which has an
Outlook synchronization option, but no programs to read in excel
files. He is pretty competent with excel, but has only a couple
of weeks experience with palms. Any advice?

(There are only ~50-100 entries so I suppose he could do it manually,
but I think he would prefer an automatic option :)
