During HotSynch, how come "AscDate -- Unable to initialize DAO/Jet Db
engine." error comes up about ten times (have to click OK for each
duplicate error message) on my father's Toshiba notebook with Windows
XP Media Center (SP1 and most updates)?

Also, he gets duplicate entries in his calendar/scheduler. It seems
to get more duplicates with each hot synch. His other computer
using Windows 2000 SP4 (all updates) has no problems.

I tried deleting the old database in the planner software to reset
the database. Then, hotsynch everything from PDA to the planner
software. The errors still come up. After a few more hotsynches, the
duplicates come back on the computer. Please note that hotsynch is
set to overwrite the desktop always.

Franklin Planning Software is at v8.11 (7/10/2003). HotSynchR Manager is
at v4.10. PalmOS 5 on a Palm Tungsten C.

I don't think

is not a database problem (started from scratch).
