I'm running a Dell XPS with Altec Lansing speakers. The speakers are plugged in and the lights are all on. This leads me to think that this is a software problem. Under control panel sounds and audio devices, it says there is no audio device. All codecs are good and have been repaired with that piece of software from K Lite.
