Can you pause in the middle of a recording?

okay so i'm making video's. and I just wanted to know if there was a way to pause the video without putting on a picture. For instance. All of the kids now days play a couple characters in their own movie. and in order to do that, you have to pause, so you can change into the other charicter, hit continue recording or something like that, then record as a different person. I just wanted to know if on the Logitech webcam if that is possible to do.
