here's the situation....
original setup: pc working fine for several years. now,,,after several minutes, screen freezes, he has to reboot,,,reboots > no beeps > black screen but you can hear the hd spinning.

new video card: after 3 hours working fine,,,then same as above

he bought a NEW COMPUTER(dell): works fine for 3 days, then same as above,,,freeze>reboot>no beep>black screen

he tried swapping out the monitor, but of course, the puter/v-card is already fried so nothing happened and the question remains,,,can a monitor short a v-card or anything in the computer for that matter
