I'm not the most technologically advanced fellow on the planet, but I know a thing or two when it comes to computers. However, I've never been particularly inclined to fiddle with this bit of audio stuff before. To keep it short, I stream on a live internet feed using my computer and I generally mix my audio (Between the external device and the microphone) using a program called "Audio Repeater" or "Virtual Audio Cable", which I'm sure some of you are familiar with. At any rate, these mix fine and I'm able to get wonderful sound quality through them, and the Virtual Cable works perfectly with Flash Media Encoder. Although, my issue is the sound card. The volume is next to silent, even though I've gone into it and put the volume to the maximum settings. I have changed it around, checking if perhaps it was too loud and being buffed out, etc. but in fact, it just became quieter if I lowered it. It plays at a normal, loud volume through my computer (Headphones, a Headset or Speakers) but when put through the virtual cable it becomes unreasonably quiet. My thoughts were that I would have to get a separate sound card and have the audio I want to mix via Audio Repeater through that instead, but I wanted to see if there was a way I could change a few things around and make this work with the one I currently have. I'm not exactly sure if the card is to blame however, because I tested the line-in and mic ports, which all work fine and I'm able to get perfect audio by putting my mp3 player or any other audio device into the line-in. My specific hardware will be listed below. I have also tried tricking the PC by hooking a dual-male audio jack into the audio-out port from the computer and into the line-in, which resulted in static - Not much to my surprise, haha! My laptop also resulted in the same thing, but I concluded that the computer must give off some sort of electrical signal to power headsets and the like and had no way of resisting that charge when going back into the computer. Perhaps there's another piece of software I can pick up? Essentially, I'd just like to get the sound card volume boosted through my computer so that a Virtual Audio program can mix it at the same volume as everything else without streaming the audio through my microphone, which is already hideous!

Sound Card: SoundMAX HD Audio (WDM)
Microphone: Logitech Webcam (USB)
Capture Card (External Device): Hauppage WinTV-HDTV 950Q
