I currently subscribe to comcast high-speed cable service.

I have two LCD HDTV sets (1080i) in my house.

I split the Comcast high speed cable signal with a splitter and send a signal to each of my HDTVs.

I currently get BASIC EXTENDED service (channels 2-60 or so) So, that means I get ESPN 1 & 2, History Channel, Discovery Channel, VH1, MTV, Food Channel, Hallmark, TNT, USA SCIFY, etc...

My LOCAL NEWS stations broadcast their stations with two different signals 1) a digital signal and 2) an HD signal

What's strange is that after scanning for channels on BOTH sets I get slightly different line-ups in the way the HD signals are placed in order even though I'm tapping from the same incoming comscast signal source.

For example: my HD digital signals for my LOCAL stations are broadcast normally on Ch. 3, 6, 10, 13 and 40.

TV SET #1 puts these signals on Ch. 3.1, 6.1, 10.1, 13.1 and 40.1

TV SET #2 puts these signals on Ch. 203, 206, 210, 213 and 240

Can anyone on this thread explain why this happens?

I'd prefer to receive my HD signals on Set #2 the same as i do on Set #2 but do not know to do so.

ANy help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
bob
