Just given above machine running XP Pro, with 20gb hard drive and 192mb memory (didn't know you could mix 64 and 128mb simms)
Machijne is appallingly slow. Obviously needs memory enhancement but believe can only go to 512mb. Can I install single 512mb simm and leave other two slots empty?
What else can I look at to resolve processing speed issue? I note something called search indexing running. Assuming this may contribute to slowness, how is it turned off? Tried doing so in Services area but it keeps coming back.
