ive tried to load windows xpsp2 on my desk top comp and it keeps telling me that it carnt find the operating system any ideas that mite help :(

If the install completed, make sure the hard drive is selected as your 1st boot device in the BIOS.

i load the disk in do a format it it does all that then when it says its going to restart
it comes up with carnt find os.i have checked the bios and i beleive it is set to the rite boot device.thank you for your responce .itall started when a m8t wanted it rebooting .

Ok, it didn't complete the install then.

In the BIOS make sure the DVD/CD drive is the first boot device (f8 on startup to access the BIOS).
You will be prompted to press any key...do so when you see it
If it already formatted your drive, you can choose the unallocated space and start the install process.

If it already formatted your OS but the install didn't complete, and you have it booting from the hard drive, there isn't any OS for it to find. So you just need to do the install process and you should be good to go.
