Can I install windows XP pro on a Dell's Studio XPS computer (I7 920).
In Dell's site they only offer Vista. Will XP interfere with the I7 performance?

I am in need of the same answer. I did however already install XP Pro 32bit. Everything appears to work ok. I do have 8 drivers that I can not get installed.....

You can install XP. But you need a 64 bit version to get the best performance out of your parts. What are the rest of your system specs? The 64 bit version of XP was pretty glitchy I've heard. Have you considered trying Win 7?
