My brand new 47 inch LCD TV is cutting off on its own periodically. It is currently hooked up to a GE Surge Pro with 312 joules. Please advise what the joules rating (surge protector)should be for a tv of this size. I contacted the manufacturer but the lady was of no help...she only said that the specifications of the tv did not matter and that any surge protector should be okay and that there was no specific requirements. Thanks for your help.
