I am planning on getting color photo printer. Newegg has a sale on HPs right now and I'm torn between two models

or

The C7280 is $150 and seems to be the higher end model but its color print quality is only 4800 x 1200 dpi vs the C6380 which is $120 and has a 9600 x 2400 dpi color print quality. Is that difference a huge concern? Would I even notice it? They both are wireless and both have scanners which is nice. I'm not sure which to get, if you have any feedback on which is better please chime in.

I doubt you'd ever see the difference in the dpi ratings. Most people find anything over 600 dpi for one color makes little difference.

Note the C7280 uses six inks, including two medium-density inks the other does not use. This is typical of printers optimized for photos because it means they can render fine differences in colors, especially in medium and light tones, better than a 4-ink printer.

You might want to get an idea of the ink costs. That can be a significant part of using these machines!
