Hi guys. I'm kind of a newbie to Video editing. I have an AVI file that is 707MB and I want it to fit on a 702MB CD-R. Each time I try to burn the AVI file in Data mode(Not VCD or SVCD mode) Ahead Nero keeps telling me to put in a disc that the AVI file will fit on. Is there any easy way that I can make the AVI just a bit shorter, say 701MB, to fit on the CD-R? What program would I use to do this? Thanks,

Tavis

Go to http://www.doom9.org and download Virtual Dub or Nandub. Make sure to select "direct stream copy" on both audio and video. Go to the end of the movie and select a point just after a keyframe into the credits and left mark it. Then go to the end and right mark it. Go to edit and delete these frame then save as avi. It should take about 3 minutes and you will be done. Make sure to give the new version a different file name.

Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire.

Another option you could have, although use with caution, is overburning. Most cd writers and writing programs allow this, and use the "lead in/out" area (i think) and in my experience you can easily add another 10 MB (as is the case here) without worrying.

The best advice to you though is indeed to do what you have done.
