Exploring Intel's Digital Home Capabilities Assessment Tool (DHCAT)

I am hungry to see more set-ups geared toward we suburban geeks. We're the ones that would like to get rid of the cable boxes (in the living room, the master bedroom, the guest room, and the kids' playroom) and their associated fees. I want to have one computer that can record all my wifes stupid reality shows and my premium content, and then be able to go to any room (or all of them at once) and view that content. Cable boxes run ~$13+ for SDTV and another $5-$12 for HDTV (and/or multiple tuner) and there is no centralized organization for content management; not the way media centers could offer. I've been a staunch AMD customer, as I feel (rightly or wrongly) that I'm promoting diversity, competition, and all that other crap, however, my kudos to Intel for knowing my pain, and having a road-map for meeting my needs.
