I am looking at the MSI GX630 laptop. Does anyone have experience with MSI laptops? The reviews on Newegg are pretty good and the price per features on this model looks very good.

Let me know what you think or recommend something else if you think I am insane.

Thanks

Anyone out there with a MSI laptop that can comment?

There's an Asus laptop on there with a 2.2Ghz Turion X2 Ultra and a 512mb 3650 I'd get over that, for the same price.

I'm in class on a MSI PR-601 and it is awesome. The most notable thing about this laptop is whats it made of. The plastic isn't cheap (unlike dell, HP ect.) The screen brightness (adjustable) at its max is phenomenal and its got great specs. Joint's are great and its a good looking laptop as well.

In all honesty, I've gotten a dell, I've gotten a Sony. I'd never go back, my next laptop is going to be an MSi as well.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

I agree fully with George. I own an MSI GX630 and I am absolutely delighted with this notebook. It is very fast, the graphics are beautiful, and the construction is top-notch. I have owned many laptops in the past as well and the only thing that comes close to the GX630 in terms of durability are the older IBM Thinkpads. I would highly recommend the GX630 even at a higher price, and for what you can buy them for, they are a STEAL. I got mine for $555 on an open box special on Newegg and have never been happier with a purchase.

Hope that helps - someone. :)
