I need some suggestions for a laptop

1_What is your budget?

I can spend up to $2,000, but I'd rather not have to spend quite that much if at all possible

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

I'm thinking something in the area of a 17" or larger

3_What screen resolution do you want?

1920 x 1080 is preferred

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Looking for something that's portable so that I can carry it to classes and on vacation

5_How much battery life do you need?

The more the merrier, I'd like 3 hours, but I don't think that's possible....quick swappable batteries would be nice if that's possible...

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

I'll most likely be playing Final Fantasy XI Online with it with high graphics, but it's an older game that shouldn't be too demanding

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.)

I want one that can play blu-ray discs with decent sound, I plan to watch movies with this computer. It will be mainly for web surfing, playing music, and watching movies.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

Looking to have atleast 250 GB

I'm a regular visitor of Newegg.com, but not necessarily set on buying from them. I do atleast want to buy from a vendor with a decent reputation though. No shoddy websites that sell you something and then shun you once they have your money.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?

As long as possible, for atleast 5 years, hopefully longer

11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them.

I'd like one that has a webcam and bluetooth that I can use a mouse with. Also looking to have Windows Vista Premium or Ultimate (not sure what the perks of ulitmate would be and if they're worth it or not) running at 64 bit. This will be my first laptop, so I'm not quite sure what to expect with it.

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

Not particularly looking for a brand, but I most definately do not want a Dell.
