1_What is your budget?

Anything up until around $1600

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

Doesn't really matter.

3_What screen resolution do you want?

Again, not that important. 15" and above with any resolution is fine.

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Desktop replacement

5_How much battery life do you need?

Will be running mostly on outlet

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Yes, gaming is the biggest aspect. Left4Dead I want to run on High. I play WarcraftIII and CS 1.6, other than that, it's not that important if something doesn't run flawlessly. Left4Dead is the biggest issue, as long as it can run fairly perfect, I'm good.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.)

Nothing that's that important.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

Again, not a relevant issues to me. I have tons of external storage.

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

Newegg, Sager, iBuyPower and even Bestbuy. I'm not impartial to anything but TigerDirect (never had a good experience).

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?

Hopefully a year or two.

11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them.

I've been really close to AMD over the years but I'm going toward an Intel build on the laptop. Preferably P8400 and up. I'm looking at laptops with at least a 9800M GS in it. I'd rather give up a little on the video card for a reasonable upgrade on the processor. At least 4 GB of RAM. Other than that, it's pretty much whatever, as long as its not too terrible.

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I've been looking at these models:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834220404
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6834220416
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspag [...] 8012519873
I really like Asus, but as I said, I'm not really that picky. I'd prefer a company I can trust and other people have had lots of experience with.

13_What country do you live in?

US

This pretty much sums it up. I'm just looking for some insight, I think I may have settled on the G50 or G71, but if people have bought gaming laptops recently and have a better deal or some further insight, I'm all ears.

Thank you.

I found this laptop the other day:

I went out today and bought it, it was definitely worth the money.
So far it's ran Left4Dead no problem on 1920x1200 (even with AA all the way up, AF on, and Vertical Sync on). It has saved me $500 and I hope more people take advantage of this deal.
