After doing a little Googling, I wanted to throw out a question to anyone using a newer MBP... is yours over heating?

This is the second mac book pro I've had in the last week, and any video rending program I use, blows up this laptop and melted my griffin stand... I can't find any help on apples website, and the genius's don't know what's going on, and just keep exchanging them, which is getting annoying.

I'm pretty sure laptops shouldn't be 226 degrees.

2.53 core duo
4gb ram
320 gig hd
Aluminum body

Any thoughts or comments?

Sounds like

A. Apple should actually make computers functional instead of pretty (ugly)
B. You have a damaged board or damaged sensor, or just a really bad program to measure it.

A. this is the second laptop
b. if you have any other suggestions for measuring the temp, I'll run the programs again and post new images ... seems to be a design flaw ... making things so thin with out the necessary cooling applications.

Apple is notorious for improper application of thermal compund. I know you probably don't want to delve into the innards of your machine, but. . . well, there it is.

I had read in Maximum PC a couple years back that Apple technical manuals call for gross over application of thermal compound to the tune of 1 tube per component
