Hi. I am about to upgrade my laptop. I just have some questions about it. The laptop config are:

IBM T500 Lenovo
15.4" WSVGA+
P8600
2gb ddr3
160gb hd 5400rpm
ati radeon 3650 256mb with intel integrated graphics
yada yada.

I was just wondering if I will be able to play cod4 at med-high quality at 1680x1050 or something close to it. And also the upcoming starcraft 2 that will be released. I hoever will probably upgrade the processor in the future (2yr down the road) as well. This should be a huge leap from my current Pentium M 750 1.86ghz with ati x700 128mb.

Sorry, but this doesn't make any sense. You can't have both...do you have the integrated or the 3650?

It has both ATI Mobility Radeon 3650 w/ 256MB or Intel X4500 integrated (hybrid switching).
you dont have to reboot to switch. basically gives the user the flexibility between performance and battery life. I think it is part of the centrino 2 platform.

That would be correct.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with the ThinkPad T series. The T400 / T500 being pure Lenovo designs. . . oh IBM ThinkPad, we hardly knew ye. . . . :)

Call of Duty 4 at that resolution on that card? Probably not. Well, maybe with AA and AF turned lowered or turned off.

Yeah, I don't know. My laptop has a hard time running it at 1280x1024 at medium settings with the 7950GTX. Doubt the 3650 would cut it at that res.

3650 256mb should be pretty good i think. hopefully the p8600 2.4ghz cpu will help it squeeze out every frame.
