Acer 6920 vs LG R500

Hi to All
This is my first post and first which should i get Q!!

This is my first laptop purchase and know nothing about their fabctionality and reliability.
Notice that i am an average gamer and i'm looking into something cheap and fast for this "needs" as well.
The above two are just two choices some friends suggested and are around my price range.
Both are the 2.5Ghz versions of their line.

LG R500

Intel Core 2 Duo, T9300, 2.5GHz, 6MB cache ,800MHz FSB, 2GB RAM(667Mhz), 250GB 5400rpm harddisk, 15.4" screen(1280x800),DVD DL+RAM, GF 8600M GS 256Mb card.

ACER 6920

Intel Core 2 Duo, T9300, 2.5GHz, 6MB L2 cache, 4GB RAM (667Mhz), 250GB harddisk, 16" screen (1920x1080), GF 9500M GS 512Mb+Turbo cache 1280MB supporting,

I agree. The 8600mGS and 9500mGS are almost identical. If you game, you'll have to turn the res way down on the acer, but it's got more bang inside.

No, I mean the Acer. The acer has a much higher screen resolution, and nearly the same gpu as the LG. In order for them to perform similarly, the screen res on the acer will have to be turned down. Whichever notebook has the 9 series doesn't matter.
