I have been looking to purchase a laptop for a while I was looking primarily at asus/acer but then I saw the Sony VAIO VGN-FW160DH for $1099 (in canada). It seems to be a good deal but I am going to do some more comparison on my own. The hardware is basically what I am looking for, I wouldn't mind a bigger screen, but for the little bit of difference it would make it doesn't matter. The C2D 8400 is one of the 45nm ones correct? and arguably the 8xxx is the best laptop processor lineup from an architecture standpoint, right?

I was mainly wondering what your thoughts are on sony laptops in general, the model in question and the price.

Any info about sony's would be greatly appreciated because I have not yet done much research on their laptops although I do tend to find that the rest of their stuff is overpriced.
