I'm getting a new laptop I just wanted to make sure the setup I get would be good for gaming, I want it to work for gaming..work, not work best, just decently. It defiantly will have to play battlefield 2142, COD4. Crysis is the only high power game I would attempt to play and I might not even try it. I'm between 2 laptops here are their specs: acer aspire 16", nvidia 8600 GT 512 mb, 3 gigs memory, Intel T7500 2.2G. Or gateway 15.4", ati radeon 2600 512 mb DDR3, intel T5550 1.83G, 4 gigs memory. The acer breaks the bank so i lean tword the gateway. I have looked at so many options and it is defiantly between these 2. Just want some advice on what to get.

8600MGT and HD 2600 perform like each other.
The ACER one has better sound quality,better CPU.
The GATEWAY one has more RAM(which wont make a lot of difference).

So my vote goes for the ACER one.

The Gateway will play Crysis, if its cheaper, why not get it?
