Hi, I am considering on purchasing a Dell XPS M1730 but I am really worried about the low battery life. Is there any way to disable one of the graphics card in the sli? For example i saw at a dell shop when u open the device manager (in xp version system->hardware->device manager), it shows two 8700gts. is it possible to press disable and just use one of them? would that literally 'power off' one of the graphics cards? Has any one done it before and how much battery would it save and what would the battery life be only using one?

Also, I am not familiar with vista but IF this can be done on xp, is it possible to do it on vista?
I need replies soon as I need to buy a notebook really soon.
