I am building a cable to communicate with my dell axim x5 to a computer programmable transmitter. the ports i have on the transmitter are Pin2=+5volt, Pin 3=RX RS232 Serial Data Input (TTL Levels (0..5volt)), Pin3=TX RS232 Serial Data Output (TTL Levels (0..5volt)), and Shield=Ground. According to the pinout info for the dell axim port onTHIS SITE, what do i need to connect and where? i assumed the rx, tx, and ground, but that site also says "Note that serial circuitry is powered down when no signal is on CTS of dell serial cable. Dell cable includes ttl to rs232 converter and cts enables pin 14 of axim."
