Over the years we've seen AT, ISA, PCI, PCI Express, PCMCIA, PC Card, Firewire, USB, etc. With the increased use of mobile computing platforms (notebooks, netbooks), higher speed networks and applications, is there a USB 4.0, Firewire 4.0, or other computer buses which the mobile computing industry forecasts?

USB 3.0 will be more than enough for most, Firewire is essentially dead now that Apple is droping it.
