Looking for advice. I’m in the market for a smart phone. My current contract expires with Verizon in January, so I decided to start my research now.

I’m looking to switch providers to either Sprint or AT&T. It is unlikely that I will ever trust Verizon enough to sign another contract with them.

Features I’m looking for, in order of importance.

1) Good functionality as a phone.

2) Ability to read e-books, this normally means a large display.

3) Decent at playing music, while I’m at the gym.

4) Able to function as a modem for my notebook.

5) I’d prefer to have a full keypad versus a touch screen.

Cost is a factor and I would like to stay below $200.00, with a two year contract. I don’t use my EVDO card that much anymore, so that is why I would like to use the smart phone as a modem, some of the time. Hopefully by doing that, it would lower my monthly payments. But you never know what deals they might offer, it might be more cost effective to have a separate card for my notebook.

Thanks Tom
