My GVC FlexNote 759 died. It was running Windows ME and only had internet explorer running when the thing started making beeps and shut down. I charged it for a while and tried turning it on again. It would not start, it makes no noises from the hard drive and the screen stays blank. The fan does not turn on. It is as if I am not even pushing the power button. I took it to a shop to get it fixed and when I got it back the thing was missing screws and I got the wrong power adaptor back with it. The man said that the motherboard was broken in half and I needed a new one, which would cost me 300 dollars. I did not have 300 dollars so I took it apart myself not trusting the man and found that the motherboard was whole and I saw no damage to any components. The man charged me 200 dollars for the "work" he did so I have no money to take it to another repair shop. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the trouble? I have tried removing the hard drive and I unplugged the bios battery to reset the bios but to no avail. Any suggestions? I would really like to get this thing running again. Thanks in advance.

*Edit*
By the way my warrenty is expired and I can get no help from the company I purchesed this from. My budget for fixing this is about $3.85 and I was planning on buying lunch with that tomarrow...
