Just wondering how many people bought their Pocket PC online? Or from a store? I'm in the market for a Windows Mobile device, and I've heard that the new Dopod Smartphone ( although being a HTC ) is actually better than the imate smartflip. I had a friend who bought a Windows Mobile device (a dopod) from Press Digital http://www.pressdigital.com.au but he chose to come into their showroom to see the product before he bought it outright. I think it can be a real trap for people like me when you buy something online, but you need to see and touch the product before you put down your hard earned cash for it. What do you think? Do you trust a hardware shop more if they have a brick and mortar showroom?

Cheers,
Vertigo

I bought mine in a retail store while out of state on business.
Circuit city i think, cant quite remeber, actualy went to a verizon outlet store and they were so packed three days in a row it was over an hour wait to be helped so i went across the street and got mine and a blue tooth in 20 minutes and left the store it was working.

I bought the pocket pc xv6700 from verizon with win mobile 5.0
I love it but barely get any real use out of it as I never take the time to look into it more.

I came in here to see who else has them and what cool stuff I could learn and better use it for a modem and other functions with the wireless broadband.

Well for wether buy online or in store, just depends on the PDA itself, both the quality and the price.
