Hi,

I have noticed this with two of my MP3 players. One is an ancient Diamond Rio 65mb (I have a card in it to boost the size). The other is a more recent Dell Pocket DJ.

I use both of these to exercise with.

The problem I have noticed seems to be with losing sound because of the audio jack you plug your headphones into.

I plug the headphones in and unless I have it positioned in just the right way, I get either sound in just one ear or no sound at all.

I think there is either junk in the jack hole or there is corrosion or something.

I have tried to clean the jack holes out with tooth picks and blowing into them, but no luck.

Neither of these players had this issue either on. I am pretty sure that is where the problem is because both have worked fine before and I have tested multiple headsets on them that work elsewhere to determine is it not a headset problem.

Also, I was thinking of picking up a flash based player that supports subscriptions. There are a lot out there - any recommendations?
