Help choosing unlocked phone plzzz

Hi,
I have service through former ATT and do not want to switch plans to Cingular so my only option, I believe is to buy an unlocked phone as my old Siemens C56 is near dead.
I did some search and found out that ebay is a good resource for unlocked phones. Also, most people tend to recommend Motorola or Nokia as opposed to other manufacturers. I would like a camera phone but dont want anything very expensive.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good Nokia or Motorola models which are good for cingular. I don't have any preferences regarding style/type like flip or slider, etc. but I don't have the budget to go above $100-$120 maybe, what could be my choices. Is there a camera phone possible in this range? I'm ok with a dual or tri band since I'll be using it mostly in North America. Also, would it be a wise choice to get a locked phone from say ebay and then either get it unlocked or do it myself through the guides/howtos available on the net?
