Palm TX

I have been looking for a pocket pc or pda that will allow me to check and send emails as well as let me use yahoo im via wifi hotspot. I have read reviews looked at the palm site and i am still a litte confused. I understand that i can check the emails but can i send them? Also i see on the palm site that it has the palm tx and it has a screen were i see that it says yahoo im. Also i was confused reading the small print on the site.. If i want to use wifi and only wifi to send and recive emails and ims do i need to subscribe to some other service. I know i need and isp and all i have dsl but besides that am i going to need to subscirbe to any thing?
