hi,
i'm looking for laptop that i can use to develop game. for those who are familiar with 3d rendering engine such as OGRE, that's exactly what i'll be using the laptop for.
i heard about the toshiba P105 S921 with geforce 7900 gs, which is perfect for this, but i just don't like the 17 inch screen as it's too big and i'm looking for something smaller like 13-14 inch.
i found sony SZ 120 PB with 256 geforce 7400, and it just has the perfect look and size. what i'm wondering is that, how good is go 7400? would it be good enough to run 3d rendering stuff?

thanks

it should be fine. the 7400 is the notebook equivalent of the 7300, so it should be fine. what are the requirements of the program. if you have a desktop system running this program, what are its specs?

well..it really depends i guess. i'm developing a 3d game. for each 3d model, the higher the number of polys, the more it requires performance.
on avg i'd say 10,000 polys per model, there are about 10 models and a level.
there's also stuff like particle effect, sound, and gui.
the school computer has the latest dell xps, so it had no problem at all.
the sony has dedicated 128 mb gpu, how good is that for say today's game standard?
