Bluetooth is an electronic technology that the whole industry has been
working on. It allows different electronic gadgets to talk to each other
directly without being connected to each other using wireless airwaves.
It's not just for cellphones but a lot of other things like test
equipment, etc.

Hmm, maybe someday your tv can tell the refrigerator to open the door as
the commercial comes on and get the master a cold one.

As a follow up, and because my daugher uses an LG-325, I sent the author of
the PR an email. Received an email back within 5 minutes. Here's her reply
on top, along with my primary inquiry on the bottom.

The software upgrades you reference are not to add new
features/capabilities to a phone but to correct software issues that are
detected. If a software issue is detected, it will be pushed to the
phone automatically.
Thank you for your business.

Dear Ms. Tigges:
I'm emailing you are you were the author of a press release dated Jan.
6th - http://www2.sprint.com/mr/news_dtl.do?id=5181 .
My daughter uses an LG-325 on our account. I understand that this phone,
along with others, will have the capability for firmware upgrades OTA.
My question is, will SPCS be offering a firmware upgrade to improve the
Bluetooth capabilities, so that my daughter will have the capability to
sync her phonebook, pictures and paid for ringers to her laptop?

bluetooth is a friggen joke that has been worked on for years and it will
never catch on in the US like it has in other countries.

By the time they "perfect" bluetooth other technologies will appear that are
better..oh wait that has already happened.

There are 2 that I know of. I just got one of them (LG 325) and
immediately "paired" it up with my car's Bluetooth system. Real simple
to do. Now all I do is use my car's BT phone system to place/answer all
calls while I'm in the car. Great audio, too, with the car's audio
system, plus I get the caller ID read out on my display.
