Is there any way to fool a CD-Rom drive into emulating a DVD-Rom Drive.

I've just bought metal gear solid 2 for the PC and got it home'only to see that it requires a DVD-Rom and not a CD-Rom drive.

I've never seen that before.
So i have to take it back or buy a new drive.

Thanx

Nope. CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives use different types of laser (/w different wavelengths to be exact) to read the discs. So a CD-ROM drive won't be able to recognize DVDs.
