I have a c343. I have been successful in using a USB cable to upload and
download MIDI files for use as ringtones. The only problem is, some of the
instrumentation seems a bit overwhelming for the tiny speaker. Even after
trimming the midi files to under 30 seconds, some of them won't even play,
too complex for the phone's processor maybe?

I was wondering if there's a good software which will optimize, or whatever
you want to call it, the files so that they sound good coming out of the
phone's tiny speaker. Also would like to normalize the volume so that some
quieter songs become louder.

I have tried Coding Workshop Polyphonic Converter, but I would prefer a
software with a bit more control, and one that's FREE. Namely, this software
doesn't allow you to "trim" MIDI files by entering a specific start & end
time. You have to drag two arrows and "guesstimate" where you want to trim
at. Not quite the best way to do it.

Anyway, if somebody has some suggestions I'd be more than interested in
hearing them.

I would love to know how you upload and download the midi files. Could
you please tell me. I have a c343 and moto phone tools but it only
works for the phonebook and calendar.
