The domino effect of their bad business will impact the entire IT market. This may mean either a slow down in production with a dip in stock prices overall, or a major advantage and surge in DDR prices as demand increases.

I tend to think the latter, that memory prices will start to escalate. One bad apple spoils the whole bunch. That is very disappointing needless to say, but RAMBUS deserves the black-eye. :tongue:

it's unfortunate, but the more i read into it, the more i'm glad RAMBUS is getting it's butt kicked legally.

I wouldn't be supporting this if it wasn't for the fact they are NOT going any faster with making new memory. I mean jesus, we've been with PC800 for 2 years and running, and yet PC1066 doesn't seem to be mainstream! Where the heck will be PC1200 and PC1600! They need to learn to work, not just enjoy suing.

anyway... i would think it would be highly amusing to get to see rambust have to pay back all the royalties.

they were too litigation happy for a TECHNOLOGY company.
