Hello all,

I'm planning to buy a new nokia telephone together with a bleutooth GPS
reciever, to use navigational sofware.
For example I'd like to buy a Rikaline GPS Muis X5 High Performance because
is supports in the (future) WAAS, EGNOS and DGPS
Does anyone know what type of nokia series I need, to work wireless with a
GPS reciever, so I can use my telephone together with route66 or TomTom
navigator?

Thanks in advange,

Eward

Hi Ed,
Tomtom mobile cannot be purchased individually, you have to buy it as a kit
with Tomtom's own GPS. Even if you aquired a copy of the software, it is
really REALLY fussy about which GPS's it will work with. Basically, it's a
complete nightmare! Route 66 however is a much easier option. It can be
bought as software only without needing a proprietry GPS. I have used both
Tomtom and Route 66 on my Nokia 6600 and have to say that Route 66 is
better. The screen layout is very uncluttered and easy to read. Tomtom is
better suited to Pocket PC's. I bought a Polstar Bluetooth GPS from a guy on
eBay for about £70. It is quite basic in technology terms but runs off three
rechargeable AAA's, is very very tiny and aquires satellites very quickly. I
can place it anywhere on my dashboard and it works very well.
Hope this helps

Ade
