Does anyone know a source in the Toronto area for cell phone USB data
cables? I can get one on eBay, but would prefer to pck one up locally
if possible.

Try the Pacific Mall, there are tons of cellular retailers there.

No it seems to be fine. The connectors at each end seem sturdy
enough. And it does work!
