C5050 poor greens?

I love my Olypus C5050 ... but I just can't get a vibrant green,
particularly from foliage.

Even sunlit trees, etc. come out with a dull browish tinge. Not the
intense greens I see outside.

Or, if there is more direct light, things go toward yellowish white.

The other colors in the same image are normally fine, so If I adjust
settings these go off.

Is this typical to digitals in general or this particular model, or am
I doing something wrong?

I've got the same camera, and no problem with vibrant colours. Set
saturation to +1, and check your white balance.
