Yahoo! disclosed to the Chinese authorities the name of a user of their
service of mail, the journalist Shi Tao, guilty of the diffusion to
foreigners of a document of the Chinese authorities which forbidden the
commemoration of the massacre of Tiananmen. As consequence of the decision
taken by Yahoo! the journalist has been sentenced by 10 years of
imprisonment. See below:>

Reporters sans frontières has organized the boycott of Yahoo! and its
research service. This is the reason why the mailing list "Camera Oscura -
Bianco e Nero" (Darkroom - Black&White) leaves Yahoo! going to a different
provider.
The italian speaking friends can now find this list here:

way to struggle.
"Boycott Yahoo"! Having businnes in China don't have to mean exploit the
children's work or collaborate with the Chinese authorities in repressing
journalists and politic dissidents.
