Can't Send Text Message to Suncom Phone

I have a cingular phone in CA, and cannot send text messages to a
friend's Suncom phone in NC. My phone says it's sent, but it's never
received at the other end. I have no problem sending/receiving messages
with other phones around the US. And my friend has no problem receiving
text messages from the Suncom website. Any ideas why this might be
happening?

If you can get anyone to answer this, I'd be interested as well. I'm on
a family share plan through Cingular. We all have the same phone. I have
the $4.99 text messaging plan. My brother has the $9.99 internet/text
messaging plan. We can't seem to send text messages to each other's
phones. I'm not sure if he has tried sending to anyone else. However, I
can definitely send to other people. Whenever he can find 30+ minutes to
wait on the phone with customer service, he'll call them to see what's
wrong.
